Initial preparation. Lines had to be measured and prepared to have balloons clusters attached to them. Then to be anchored to the playa.
Morning approach from 300° and Midships. Nice start to the balloon stack.
Patri joins the Floating World. Gravity has only a slight grip on him in the best of times.
The balloons start feeling the pain of the playa. Shannon goes up.
Shannon enters the Floating World. The sun blazes down.
Late afternoon. The stack audaciously grasps the sun.
The wind expresses its power. Many balloons succumb.
No more rides now. The balloons reach maximum altitude, and the death ritual begins in earnest.
Spontaneous eruption of balloon art.
