crispyneurons was created by Jason Wells. Crispy is a much enhanced descendant of a site called Sign of Storms (signofstorms.com) that I launched in 2000 and retired in mid-2002. (See the history for details.) That in turn was based on The Jason Directory, an ancient 'personal portal' I created in 1996. Content from Electrocute Your Mind, an artistic site I hosted in 1997, becomes integrated with crispy as time goes by.

Crispy is the result of multiple long-standing intentions of mine:

• to broadcast my personal brand of subversive gibberish to friends and unsuspecting strangers from a global platform
• to host photography from vacations, parties, and other events
• to play with Linux, and to expand my Unix skills
• to learn more about TCP/IP internetworking
• to have a capability for massive globally-accessible bookmarking and file sharing across network boundaries
• to teach myself search engine optimization techniques

This site carefully adheres to the W3C XHTML 1.0 and CSS specifications, and requires Javascript and Java applet support. Thus this site supports the less excessively brain damaged versions of IE, browsers based on Mozilla, and Apple's Safari browser. It should work in other standards-compliant browsers like Opera, but I make no guarantees... If you're using something else and it works, consider yourself lucky.
